Yoga for Freedom
One traveler, two lives forever changed.

On the other side of the world, in a tiny country called Nepal, there is a group of amazing children. They are the children of Nepal Orphans Home. These wonderful children come from diverse backgrounds; some are orphans, some were street children, and some were Kamlari (indentured servants/child slaves).

Nepal Orphans Home relies almost entirely on outside donations, the kindness of others helps to support its amazing work. In the Cleveland, Ohio area; Nepal Orphans Home has found a new group of supporters, yogis. The Greater Cleveland yoga community has embraced Nepal Orphans Home with open arms, welcoming its newfound family.

Many in the Yoga community have asked how they can do more. The time has come — there is now a way to do more: Yoga for Freedom. This past summer, Jesse Bach was volunteering in Nepal with Nepal Orphans Home, walking the children to school with Michael Hess, founder of Nepal Orphans Home. The conversation surrounded the loving nature of the yoga community and how it would be amazing to bring them to Nepal, to see first hand the work that was going on and letting them experience the birthplace of yoga, Buddhism and Hinduism. Yoga for Freedom was born.

Yoga for Freedom is by no means a relaxing spa holiday. This project will test your physical, spiritual and emotional limits. You will be traveling places and participating in activities usually reserved for the pages of National Geographic. You will leave Nepal with a new outlook on life and a child will receive a new portion of theirs.

For every one traveler, enough money will be generated to rescue and support one child. It is a one to one ratio. Through your hard work and dedication to yoga and service, a child will be given a chance at life. You will meet the children of Nepal Orphans Home while you are there, linking faces and names to the work you will be doing.

I hope that this project is of interest to you. Know that you will literally be changing lives through yoga.

If you are interested in pursuing this further. Please contact Jesse Bach, who will be working as the American contact for this project. His contact information can be found after the itinerary below.

Thank you,
